This piece takes the sounds of daily life like brushing your teeth, making coffee, and preparing food, conversations and telephone calls and puts a twist on them. It demonstrates how strange daily life can be and how the things we take as normal occurrences can seem weird and bizarre when put into a different context and slightly tweaked. I wanted to give a feel for what a day is actually like, preforming routine tasks intermittent with conversation, some that are meaningless and some that are extremely meaningful. Routine is both comforting for many people but also boring, we feel a sense of control since we know what each day entails, but we are also missing the dopamine that comes with experiencing new and exciting things. Children grow up and realize that life is not all about just having fun, and that adults spend much of their time doing things they don't want to do.
